Community and Public Health Certificate Requirements
A list of courses that compromise the minor program of study for each specialization area is listed below. Each certificate requires the completion of 15 credit hours.
Community Health Worker
Individuals who seek a certificate in the Community and Public Health Community Health Worker Specialization are community-based individuals who may or may not have an undergraduate degree in another discipline and seek to gain depth of knowledge while acquiring additional skills to launch or enhance a career in public health or a related field. The certificate will provide content in health education, health coaching, epidemiology, public health, and policy. Individuals interested in the certificate option will follow appropriate application/admission processes. Each certificate requires the completion of 15 credit hours, and the typical timeline for completion of the certificate is 2 semesters.
